Student Council & Leadership Opportunities

Senior students at Walter Zadow Public School are encouraged to participate in and initiate leadership opportunities at our school. In addition to being a representative on our School Council, Grade 8 students can become involved in the organization of some fundraising activities and for spirit days and door decorating days. Each grade 5 to 8 classroom elects two Student Council Representatives for their class to attend Student Council Meetings.

Our senior students assist with our Santa Shop prior to the holiday season by helping our younger students to shop for gifts for parents, siblings, grandparents and other special people on their list.

Senior students are also involved in organizing a Christmas Dance, Candygrams, several spirit and dress up days like Twin Day, PJ Day, Sports Day and Christmas (Red/Green) Day. Thank you to Mrs. Callighen and Mrs. Forrest for organizing the Student Council.
